Healthy Way of Life

Some of us have genetic health risks passed on in our family. Heart Disease has become the number one killer of men and women in the world. As with any disease there are preventative measures that can be taken to ensure a long and prosperous life. A good cardio workout is best for preventing Heart Disease.

Some of us have genetic health risks passed on in our family. Others are healthy their entire lives with little concern for diseases. Others suffer not only from poor genetics but from poor health in general because of a bad diet and or lack of exercise. Heart Disease has become the number one killer of men and women in the world. Heart Disease was once the number one killer of men but since more women have taken on masculine roles, they are now also affected. As with any disease there are preventative measures that can be taken to ensure a long and prosperous life.

The first thing I always have to point out before recommending anything is to check with your doctor to make sure any such preventative measures are safe for you personally. Some people have allergies, deficiencies, and or other ailments that can be worsened due to side effects from medications when mixed with too much or any natural supplements in general. After making certain that you have no risks to trying any or all of these measures with your doctor then you can safely put them into effect.

The number one preventative measure I always push and can’t stress it enough is exercise. A good cardio workout is best for preventing Heart Disease. Some people take on a body building workout which when you research you will find this too can be damaging to your heart without a good cardio vascular workout aside from the weight lifting. Body builders ingest large amounts of proteins and other muscle fiber building supplements that can be harmful for someone with a serious condition. Supplements such as NO2 and NO3 actually expand the veins and arteries to supply more blood flow to the muscles for a better workout. Such supplements can be very harmful o those on heart medications so check with your doctor before using any supplement. I just push the cardio which can be the tread mill, stair master, or my favorite a customized circuit put together by a personal trainer that knows what he or she is doing and can monitor your progression.

The second preventative measure is a good diet such as smaller meals six times a day. Have a dietitian help you put one together for your body type. This will help your body process foods better and without over consumption of unwanted fats and calories. This along with water intake rather than soda will help you to lose unwanted weight safely and not by killing yourself with a diet that can cause more problems than it prevents.

Fiber and Garlic are both good sources of natural supplements found in your own kitchen that can reduce cholesterol and prevent Heart Disease. Garlic is used for many things. It can prevent anticoagulants from working so again you need to check with your doctor if you are on any prescription or have other health risks. Garlic is very potent and can cause digestive issues when taken in its raw form. Some people have even gotten headaches and fevers. Garlic supplements are better for those of us with stomach or bowl issues. Garlic is in a lot of different foods so know that if you are eating Italian then you are probably getting more than enough garlic in your diet.

Fiber is found in a lot of things we eat from bread to oatmeal. Fiber is a natural laxative and is known to absorb fats in our digestive system that we don’t need and carry it out through natural means. It also helps to clean our blood of bad cholesterol or LDL. Anyone with a cholesterol level of 200 or more is at high risk according to American Heart Association. There are many different natural means of lowering cholesterol without prescriptions, however if you already have high cholesterol a prescription may be the best choice. In any case, if you are like me and do not like pills check with your doctor about any natural means that are safe for you. Your doctor may eventually take you off of your prescription if you get your cholesterol under control naturally. Be healthy. Eat right, and exercise.
